On Day 1, there was over 20 people that came in from various gyms. There was an open ceremony and everyone got the chance to introduce themselves. Unfortunately, I was unable to roll due to having a shoulder injury and I'm competing this weekend at NoGi Worlds. People at the event ranged from white to black and everyone got a roll in. There were a lot of tough rolls and a lot people helping out each other on techniques and strategies. It was a great thing to see. That was the first time my mom got to see Jiu Jitsu in person.
At the 2nd hour, Scott Ross from 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, was giving a brief class. He went over set ups and finishes on the knee bar. He helped out a lot of the novices that weren't rolling, so that was a big help to me and the event.
