On Sunday, I ran the 3rd Grapplethon Day 2 event at the Westside Training Center in Culver City. For the 2nd day, there were over a dozen people that came in from mainly from that gym. There was no open ceremony, since everyone knew each other at the gym, but we did take a couple of group pictures. Once again, I was unable to roll due to having a shoulder injury and I'm competing this weekend at NoGi Worlds.

There were different BJJ players ranging from white to black and most of the people got a roll in. There were a lot of good rolls and ton of information given out on techniques and strategies on passing the Z guard and Spider guard. I got to enjoy hanging out with the guys from the gym and take a bunch of pictures. My mom had a good time talking and meeting everyone, and seeing what Jiu Jitsu is all about. It was great seeing a smile on her face.

This place is home to me. I remember starting out here earlier this year, because I needed a place to cross train, when I worked in El Segundo. They were open to me training with them for that part. Ever since then, I've been part of their family. They've helped me out so much in my game and in my life. I've very greatful to them f

After over an hour of rolling, we went over the raffle. The prizes were Tapout shirts, a free Gi, and a free pink Vale Tudo shorts. Thanks to the Westside Training Center for donating the free Gi and shorts. In total, we raised $290 for this day.

Thank you everyone that came out to support and contribute to this fundraiser. Also, I would like to thank again the Westside Training Center, Kris Novell, and Fernando Villavicencio for allowing me to host the event at the gym. Thank you to my wife and my mom for their help and support for the 2nd day in a row. Without you guys, I wouldn't been able to do this. Mabuhay, Namaste, Dattebayo!!!
