7/23/13 North American BJJ Tournament Training - Day 12

Today, I worked out twice. My first workout was at the 24 Hour Fitness in Burbank. My workout was for 45 minutes. Mainly, it was full body workout.

Workout:


Power Cleans- Went up to 3 sets- 230lbs for 3 reps
Push Press- Went up to 275lbs, 280lbs, 285lbs, 290lbs, and 295lbs for 3 reps each set
Barbell Jump Squats- 5 sets- 135lbs for 10 reps
T-Bar Rows with 4orce Grips- Went up to 2 sets of 215lbs for 8 reps
Cable Rotations with Scramble Grip Trainers- 60lbs for 10 reps on each side and on 3 different angles

My second workout today was at the Force Balance BJJ/Paragon Burbank gym. I did the warm ups, which consisted of the same exercises from yesterday, but without the push ups, squats, and ab work. That part was substituted for a lot technical stand up and get up exercises. 

We went over a single set up and takedown. Then, we went over arm drags and taking the back. For the most part, I was helping out a couple of white belts on this. After that, we did a live drill on taking the back.
