I took the Gi class today. Warm ups consisted of 50 Jumping Jacks, 20 Push Ups, and 50 crunches. Then, we did 3 rounds of a live drill, in which each person had to hold on to the bottom lapel for the entire round. That was interesting, because moving around while holding on to that lapel was tough. You can only move in certain angles, which made the movements predictable, but at the same time, if you can impose your will, then sweeping and passing guard was easy.
After that, we did some grip fighting. Then, we worked on some Z guard/Half Guard/Shield guard passes to transition to a back attack. We did a lot of reps on this.
After class, I went over some set ups and finishes from the mount to the arm triangle. I got some reps in there as well. Then, I did some balancing and core work on the stability ball.
