Tonight, I was training at the Westside Training Center. I took both the Beginner and Advance BJJ class. For the Beginner class, I did the warm ups, which consisted of bodyweight and BJJ movements, and ab work. Today, we drilled on guard recovery from side control, stopping the guard recovery from side control, and guard recovery from side control to sweep to knee on belly transition. After that I got to roll for 2 rounds, I pretty much flowed roll when I could and helped out my training partners on their game when I could. Pretty much, I was working on getting my timing down and getting used to rolling around consistently if I could. For the advance class, I did the warm ups again, which consisted of working on the speed ladders, ab work, and BJJ movements. After that, we worked on several submissions from side control. One was the baseball choke and the other was the failed attempt on setting up the baseball choke to zekiel choke from side control. After that, I didn't roll, so I worked on some BJJ movements, more ab work, and I worked on getting reps on the dummy by doing some RNC holds for time and arm bar transitions from the back, side control, knee on belly, and mount. My ribs are feeling better. They did get sore, so I took a precaution to stop and recover. I was already spent before coming to class. I think my CNS was fried from work and other personal issues. Also, I had a lot of coffee through out the day.
