I worked out twice today. My first workout was at the 24 Hour Fitness gym in Burbank. Workout was for 35 minutes.
Side Handle Deadlifts- 180lbs, 360lbs, and 540lbs for 5 reps, 720lbs and 860lbs for 2 reps- Belt and Straps
Barbell Squats- 225lbs, 315lbs, and 405lbs for 5 reps, and 495lbs, 565lbs, and 635lbs for 1 rep- Belt and Knee Sleeves
Front Squats- 225lbs for 5 reps, 315lbs and 365lbs for 2 reps - Belt (I was spent before getting to the Front Squats. I pretty much grind it out on these sets.)
T-Bar Rows- 90lbs, 180lbs, and 225lbs for 10 reps, and 270lbs for 4 reps
My second workout was at the Force Balance BJJ/ Paragon Burbank gym. I missed the warm ups. The first part that we went over was the hip toss. The second lesson for the takedowns tonight was a set up from when the opponent has a sleeve and collar grip, you would do a duck under on the sleeve grip side and then transition over to a high crotch single leg takedown.
After that, we did a lot of reps on the next couple of moves. The first lesson on the ground was a side control choke from the bottom. The second lesson was an side control armbar from the bottom and then if that failed, we would do a sweep to get to side control.
When class was over, I headed over to the hospital to visit. I had some good training today. I feel stronger and healthy. I would like to honor someone for this tournament. I would like to hand over my medal to this
