Bent Over Rows- 225lbs -10 reps, 315lbs- 10 reps, 335lbs- 6 reps
Jump Squats with 20lb Medicine Ball- 5 sets- 5 reps - 30 seconds rest between each set
TRX Reverse Fly- 3 sets- 12 reps
TRX Abdominal Fall Outs- 3 sets- 10 reps
Single Arm Bodyweight Hangs- 3 sets- 5 seconds for each hand
My second workout was at the Force Balance BJJ/Paragon Burbank gym. Today, we had a guest instructor, Alfred, from the Paragon Ventura gym. Today, I did some of the warm ups of jogging, single leg jumps, drop steps, butt scoots, shrimps, and more.
The lessons for today were on side control reversals using the opponent's near side lapel. The first move was a modified bull toss to side control to the paper cutter submission and the other was a modified ghost escape while holding on to the lapel to back take to RNC transition. We got to do a lot of reps and even had time to work on the weak side.
I felt that these moves were really good to escape from side control and I wish that the first move was taught to me sooner, since I use a modified move without the lapel grip. Overall, training when well today and I was able to stay healthy. Thanks to my training partners for today.
