Deadlifts- Went up to 600lbs for 2 reps and 515lbs for 8 reps- Belt and Straps (Surprisingly, I had more energy doing the 8 reps on 515lbs then on the 2 reps at 600lbs)
2" Thick Bar Pull Ups- 3 sets- 6 reps
2" Thick Bar Chin Ups- 3 sets- 6 reps
2" Thick Bar Bodyweight Hangs- 2 sets- 35 seconds
I spent 5 rounds on the heavy bags- Knees, Punches, Elbows, and Kicks- 2 minutes of work and 1 minute of rest
After that, I took the 10th Planet Beginner class. I did partial of the warm ups, in which I did forward rolls, shrimps, and yoga stretches. The moves today were passing the guard and quarter guard. The passes were the capoeira pass to side control, samurai roll to back take, knee slice to head and arm side control, and failed knee slice to inside turnaround to side control. I got some reps for each transition and I got to help out as well. I stayed healthy. That's what matters the most to me right now.
As far as the rib injury, I bought a massage oil to use after training. Also, I'm supplementing Turmeric to aid in my recovery and for pain management. Luckily, I'm taking it easy tomorrow, because of work. I'm trying to stay healthy as I can, because I need to roll more, before this tournament.
