Then, I took class. I did the warm ups today, which consisted of jogging, high knees, butt kickers, lateral movements, shovel walks, and grip pulldowns. Also, we some live drills on ankle touches and rolling with a one arm disadvantage. The lesson for today was on leg locks.
We worked on repping on the ankle lock and escaping the ankle lock. The main thing about finishing the ankle lock was about controlling and positioning the opponent's toes with the arm pit and lats. As far as escaping, the biggest thing was about activating the foot and grabbing the lapel as soon as possible.
I went easy on the workout today, since my CNS was fried from work and other personal stuff. The training took off my stress a lot. I feel much better. The best thing is that my movements are getting better and my ribs are fine.
I would like to thank my training partners and coaches on allowing me to train and helping me out while my ribs are sore. It means a lot to me to continue to learn and get better. They are making adjustments for me to do that. I think I have the best training partners and coaches. They're patience and attitudes are top notch. This tournament to me is about honoring them. My win is their win.
Mabuhay, Namaste, Dattebayo!!!
