I took the TSHOOT exam once last year and failed. I missed the cut off by 30 points. I'll be retaking the exam this year and rolling over this goal. It was an overwhelming year. Having a second kid, changing jobs, working farther, and having less time to study and train. I learned a lot about what I need to improve on my own self time management and energy expenditure.
I don't mind the challenge though. It is part of life. Always looking to improve myself in any way that I can.
2. Become a BJJ World Champion
Last year, I got my first win at Mundials. Lost my second match. I didn't get to do Master's Worlds, since it was on the weekend of my wedding anniversary. NoGi Worlds, I lost my first match. That was the first time that I got to compete as a purple belt. I got Third at the SJJIF Worlds. Last year was the worst year that I've had competition-wise since I first started competing in Jiu Jitsu. I'm rolling over this goal for life.
3. Become a BJJ Purple Belt
I finally was able to get to this goal in July. I was so happy and excited. I was sad that I never won Mundials at blue belt, but this year will be my first attempt at purple belt. Next goal will be the BJJ Brown Belt. Out of the 5 goals from last year, I was able to at least get one goal. Yay!!!
4. Write An Article Once A Month
I failed dramatically on this goal. I will roll over this goal this year.
5. Take Videos of My Training and/or Competition Once A Month
Once again, I failed dramatically on another goal. I will roll over this goal this year.
