I would recommend to work on your grip for at least twice a week. The grip is the most underutilized strength in most athletes arsenal. Having a strong grip can change your game and your competition results. Just like conditioning, this is something that you have control over in your training. There's no excuse in having a weak grip, in which it causes you to have performance issues during competition.

The wrist roller with the band attached to the weight and the pinch plate rotations are the best exercises to work on from this video. The wrist roller exercise forces you to work on your wrist and support grip strength, while the pinch plate rotation works your wrist from a different angle and forces you to work on your pinch grip strength.
