Yesterday, I was training at the Pasadena Judo Dojo. I did the warm ups, which consisted of some jogging, basic tumbling, and stretching. I got to work on the ippon seonage, o goshi, and harai goshi. Then, I got to work them on a light live drill. Then, the instructor went over the basic judo side control techniques. I got to drill those live and ended the day early, since I was bleeding.
Working on my stand up was great and being tossed was better. I'm afraid to be tossed, because of my shoulders and ribs, but I was fine. I just need to improve upon my break falls. My goal for this tournament and this year is establish the takedowns. Last year, it was to establish my guard and sweeps at the Blue Belt level in competition, since I'm still a blue belt, I need to emphasize the big man game more over now, since my guard and sweep game is more develop than my takedown game.
