Tonight, I was training at the Force Balance BJJ/Paragon Burbank gym. I skipped the weights today to rest up my shoulders. I did some of the warm ups that I could do. My left shoulder is still in pain. Tonight's instructor is my main instructor, Steve Cardenas.
He went over a half guard set up to a failed kimura to a reversal to an arm bar transition. After that, the next lesson was a kimura escape from the top position to a full mount transition. Then, he went over a kimura escape from the bottom position. Next, we did a live drill in which the top position was locked in to set up and finish the arm bar and the bottom position to work on an escape. When that was over, he went over a variety of moves to attack and finish the bar from various situations.
I would like to thank Steve and my training partners for all their help, while I'm nursing my injury. It helps a lot that they were able to assist me in getting my reps in, despite the injury. I'm lucky to have great training partners in this time of need in my training.
