Today, I was training at Selva BJJ in Alhambra. Originally, I found out through Facebook last night that today's session was open mat, but it ended up being a drilling session instead, which was great for me, because my ribs are still sore. I did the warm ups, which was your basic BJJ warm ups. The mats were huge, so we jogged around a lot, with the Gi, it's not so fun as a heavyweight.
We drilled for almost 1.5 Hours from single and double leg takedowns to a bunch of spider guard, open guard, butterfly guard passes to side control and to back take. I like the drilling a lot, because not only it works on conditioning, but it also works on muscle memory. A lot of the passes and drills that we did are techniques that I can use in my game.
