In class, Professor John Ouano went over passes from open guard, de la riva guard, and half guard. From the open guard, it was the standard M1 pass to knee on belly. The half guard pass was a set up based on a failed M1 pass to a knee slice to side control. The DLR guard pass was a set up to side control to a knee on belly set up to a cross collar choke.
I got a lot of reps in and I got a lot of details from Professor Perry Hauck, since he was my training partner for tonight. I learned about high mount on the side control and a set up to the america from that position. He helped me out a lot on the small details of each lesson tonight. It helped me out a lot. I can't wait to try these moves when I roll and compete.
My ribs are still sore, so I couldn't roll. I iced them after class. I did do some core work and stretching after class. At this point, I'm just looking to stay healthy and work on repetition in class.
