Barbell Squats- 155lbs, 245lbs, 335lbs, and 425lbs- 5 reps, 515lbs, 590lbs, and 640lbs- 2 reps- Belt and Knee Sleeves
Barbell Deadlifts- 155lbs, 245lbs, 335lbs, 425lbs- 3 reps- Double Overhand Grip, 500lbs, 550lbs, and 600lbs- 2 reps- Belt and Straps, 565lbs- 3 reps
T-Bar Row Machine (45 Degree Angle grip)- Went up to 3 sets- 205lbs- 8 reps
Barbell Rows (Supinated Grip)- 3 sets- 315lbs- 8 reps
When I took the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu class. The lessons and drills for today were the same as yesterday, except that the two additional moves were spiral guard breaks to 50/50 to 50/50 Guard pass to side control or back control and the other was a spiral guard break to 50/50 to 50/50 Guard Pass to a transition to the truck to a back take. I did some other Jiu Jitsu work in class, since I didn't do all the drills, because I couldn't find someone my size to work on the moves.
I felt really strong today in my training. I feel very comfortable with the spiral guard and sit up guard now. I will add them to my attacks for the competition this weekend at the Long Beach Open IBJJF Invitational.
