After that, we continued from Monday's lesson on the Crucifix set up from the turtle position to forward roll to finish with either a lapel choke, lapel choke variation, and the half nelson lapel choke. We did this for a couple of rounds. After that, I got to roll for three rounds. One of the instructor, a Judo Black Belt (a significantly lighter opponent), and a blue belt (once again, a smaller opponent). I got worked on by the instructor, but I think my defense is improving, but I couldn't pass his guard nor defend from my guard, and I was overthinking everything.
With the other two guys, it was a lighter roll. I was working on my defense for the most part, but mentally, I was already drained, maybe I was tired from the circuit, normally, I don't do that type of work in training, since that type of pace and endurance is not what I do or use in tournaments. Anyhow, I came out healthy and learned a lot. It was a good night.
