Last night, I worked out twice. My first workout was at the 24 Hour Fitness gym in Beverly Hills.
Warm Up:
Foam Rolling- IT Band, Quads, Upper Back, Mid Back, and Piriformis- 5 minutes
Workout:
Hang Snatch- 3 sets- 155lbs- 5 reps
Hang Clean- Went up to 3 sets- 230lbs- 5 reps
Fat Gripz Pull Ups- 3 sets- 6 reps
TRX Horizontal Rows with Fat Gripz (Supinated Grip)- 3 sets- 15 reps
Superset - TRX Face Pulls + TRX Reverse Flyes - 3 sets- 15 reps + 15 reps
Fat Gripz Double Over Hand Deadlifts- Went up to 280lbs and 300lbs- 1 rep, and 275lbs- 3 reps
Fat Gripz Bodyweight Hangs- 4 sets- 25 second
My second workout was at the Westside Training Center in Culver City. I took both the beginner and advance BJJ classes. I was late to the beginner class, but the first thing that I worked on was the single leg takedown. I got to rep that for a bit. After that, I did a live drill where people were attempting the single leg takedown on me. I got taken down twice within 6 people. My balance was good. Then, we got to rep a lot on the double under pass after breaking the full guard.
For the advance class, we worked on the crucifix set up from the opponent's turtle. I worked on several chokes from there. After that, we worked on taking the back from the opponent's turtle position by hooking up on the opponent's ankle with our own ankle and grabbing with the seat belt. I got a lot of reps there as well. Then, I got to roll for 5 rounds. I did okay and I came out fine. As long as I'm healthy, I'll be ready for Master's Worlds.
