I worked out twice today. My first workout was at the 24 Hour Fitness gym in Burbank.
Workout:
Push Press- Went up to 275lbs, 295lbs, and 305lbs- 1 rep
Barbell Squats- Went up to 650lbs- 1 rep- Belt and Knee Sleeve
Fat Gripz Pull Ups- 3 sets- 6 reps
TRX Abdominal Fall Outs- 3 sets- 12 reps
Super Set- Battle Rope Power Slams + Ball Crunches- 3 sets- 25 reps + 10 reps (held 3 seconds at top + 5 seconds descending)
My second workout was at the Force Balance BJJ/ Paragon Burbank gym. I did the warm ups, which consisted of some jogging, lateral movement, plyometric movement, and BJJ movements. Today's, drills were on half guard/ Z guard set ups to the triangle, sweep to side control, and to take the back. I was able to rep on each drill. I did okay, but I had issues with the set up to the triangle due to my big legs.
After that, I got to roll for 2 rounds. One with a white belt and another with a purple belt. I pretty much did a flow roll with both, since I'm trying to improve my reaction and timing down. I came out healthy and learned a lot today. I've never seen each of the lessons that were taught, so that was a plus.
I didn't get to workout from Thursday-Saturday, since I was out of town to Phoenix. I was catching up on sleep and the travelling wasn't fun. I didn't feel well on Saturday and Sunday. I tried to get as much rest as possible, but my sleeping pattern was back to normal today, but I couldn't breath well for most of the day, because I had Phlegm in my throat. I had a hard time rolling with that and doing the warm ups as well.
