Today, I worked out twice. My first workout was at the 24 Hour Fitness in Beverly Hills aka "The Dungeon".
Workout:
Weighted Jump Squats- 5 sets- 50lbs- 5 reps
Medicine Ball Front Jump Squats- 5 sets- 20lbs- 6 reps
Scramble Grip Trainers Cable Rows- Went up to 2 sets- 225lbs- 6 reps
Chin Ups- 3 sets- 6 reps
My second workout was at the Westside Training Center. I took both the Beginner and Advance class. For the Beginner class, we worked on the single leg takedown. We drilled the takedown, the set up, and then we did the king of the hill for one round. After that, we worked on the cross collar choke from full guard. We did a lot of reps with it, and then went live with this drill for one round being on the bottom position and one round being the recipient of the choke.
For the advance class, I did the warm ups, which consisted of BJJ and Judo movements. After that, we drilled side control and north south control set ups to the axe choke and near side armbars. Then, I rolled for 3 rounds and went one round defending from the full guard.
I learned a lot today, even though I was sloppy in my movements during the rolls. I came out healthy and I can't wait for next weekend.
