7/28/14 - General Training

I was training at the 24 Hour Fitness gym in West Covina. This will be my main gym that I will be training at while I'm still figuring out on how I'm going to get my Jiu Jitsu training in. I live 35 miles away from work and I still haven't got accustomed to living this far from work while training and raising my son. By the time I get home, it's almost 7PM, I'm doing errands at home, and by the time I get ready to train, it's almost 9PM.

I have been training here and there, since my last post, but I was injured before World's, so I couldn't compete, because I injured my left leg during training. I'm fully healed now. I don't have any short term goals to compete at this time. I'm just trying to get some training in, get some reps, and build up my timing during rolls. At this point, I won't be going light during rolls now, since I don't even know when my next workout will be.
I do have mats at home. I will be doing a lot of solo drilling while taking care of my son in the meantime.

As far as weight training, I'll be rotating a Squat/ Bench day with a Deadlift/ Overhead Pressing day. All of my core work and flexibility training will be at home.

Warm Ups:

Snatch Grip Barbell Deadlifts with Double Overhand Grip- 160lbs, 260lbs, and 355lbs - 5 reps

Workout:

Barbell Deadlifts- 455lbs- 2 reps - Double Overhand Grip, 545lbs- 1 rep- Over Under Grip - Beltless, 595lbs - 1 rep, 635lbs - 2 reps, and 555lbs- 5 reps- Belt and Straps
Cable Rows with Scramble Gi Trainers- 110lbs, 170lbs, 210lbs, 255lbs, and 2 sets- 270lbs- 12 reps
Jump Squats- 2 sets - 24lbs- 10 reps, 2 sets- 60lbs- 10 reps, and Bodyweight- 20 reps

Given below is a video of my set of Barbell Deadlifts with 635lbs for 2 reps. I took the video to see my form. I definitely have a lot to work on as far as my set up and working on my weaknesses. With the limited amount of time for training, I think I'm doing okay though. Workout was for about 35 minutes.

After the workout, I stretched out for about 10 minutes. All of it were static stretches with holds between 30 seconds to a minutes for each stretch.
