Yesterday's Jiu Jitsu training was the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne, CA. We worked on half passing and recovery. The first move of the day was the knee slice pass and the 2nd move was half guard recovery to full guard. After that, I got to do live drills for four rounds from both the top and bottom position on the half guard. I was able to get some sweeps and reversals from the bottom and then get some passing and submissions from top on the half guard. Then, I got to roll for 2 rounds of sparring.
The next tournament and last tournament that I am looking at for the year is the IBJJF NoGi Worlds. I will start prepping next week, since I have a GoLive going on at work and I'm working graveyard this weekend. Hopefully, I can get started on Monday.
