Powerlifting and Jiu Jitsu Training 3/8/19

I had a two a day training, but my powerlifting training was short, since I got sore and spent after my 5th set on the squats and I wanted to make sure that I had energy for Jiu Jitsu training that day. I was training at the 24 Hour Fitness Sport gym in the City of Industry. I spent some time warming up since it was early in the morning. I was doing some corrective stretching and foam rolling. After the workout, I spent some time on the electric massager with infrared light.

During lunch time, I was training at the Lion Heart Jiu Jitsu gym in Pasadena, CA. I got to roll for 7 rounds. I got to roll with a couple of heavyweights, which was great, since I need to work with people in my weight class. I got to work on a little bit of everything. Thanks to everyone at Lion Heart Jiu Jitsu for the hospitality.

Jiu Jitsu Training 3/9/19

I was really sore from the day before from the two a day training. I was training at the Untamed Jiu Jitsu gym in West Covina, CA. I got to work on several cross collar chokes from both the mount position and then a transition from full guard. After that, I got to roll for three rounds of sparring.

Powerlifting Training 3/15/19 - Full Body Workout

Today's training was at the 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport gym Walnut, CA. I had to do a full body workout, since I didn't train for about a week and I needed to see on where I am at. The bench was horrible today, but the squats and deadlifts were great. I didn't have my straps, but my grip held up great on the deadlifts.

I didn't get to do any training during the week, since I am on-call this week. It's been a long and tough week. I'm just glad that I was able to get the training in. Also, I haven't made any posts, since I was working on some changes during some weird hours and I was celebrating my father in law's birthday last weekend.

Due to the lack of training this week, I decided to pass on competing at Pan Ams. I'll be waiting for another tournament to come by, but I am still focus on competing at the USPA powerlifting meet at the Anaheim Fit Expo, in which that I can set a world, national, and state records. I plan on setting records for this powerlifting meet and trying to be an elite lifter as well.
