Yesterday's lunch training was at the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne, CA. We worked on open guard recovery. There was a lot of moves that we worked on from moving around in open guard, following our training partner in open guard, hip escape, granby roll, failed granby roll to open guard, and grip breaking using our feet. I got to do live drills for 4 rounds after wards. It was tough, because on top, we only use one and and on bottom, we used no hands, so moving around was really difficult for me at the bottom. It wasn't that bad on top.

Tonight, I was training at the Untamed Jiu Jitsu gym in West Covina. I was there for the open mat. I got to roll with 2 purple belts and 2 white belts for 6 minute rounds. I did okay tonight. I was working various escapes, submissions, and sweeps. It was my 2nd workout for the day, since I did chest and back earlier, but my upper body was fine and the cardio is good so far.
