Today's lunch Jiu Jitsu training was at the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne, CA. The lessons for today were on a bow and arrow choke from the back on a failed attempt on collar choke and then the other move that we worked on was on escaping the back on the collar choke by grabbing on to the choking arm, forcing it over the head, and getting the shoulder to the back. After that, I got to do live drills for 4 rounds on defending the back and going on the offensive from the back. Then, I got to roll for 3 rounds of live sparring.
I did partial of the warm up when I got to class. They were dynamic stretches. I spent time this morning at home and some at work on corrective stretching. I felt loose coming into class, which was great.
