3/18/19 Training
I was training at the Untamed Jiu Jitsu gym in West Covina, CA. It was NoGi training. We worked on a guillotine finish from an opponent's double leg attempt and then a darce and marce finish from the turtle position. After that, I got to roll for two rounds of sparring.
3/19/19 Training
Yesterday, I was training at the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne, CA. We worked on a sweep from the the lasso/de la riva guard that is set up to a single leg takedown finish with a grip on the lapel. I did a lot of reps on this sweep from both sides. Then, I got to do three 6 minute rounds of sparring.
At this point, I'm unsure on what my next competition will be, but based on my schedule, it might the NABJJF LA International in June. I will be working on more transitions and submissions from the full mount position. I'm also looking to work on my open guard and takedowns until then. My flexibility is improving, so I am able to do more moves and implement more into my game.
