Tonight's Jiu Jitsu training was at the Untamed Jiu-Jitsu gym in West Covina. I was visiting tonight, since I didn't get to train during lunch time and that I was able to get coverage for the kids. I spent a lot of time on takedowns with various set ups. The trilogy of moves ended up being for double legs. I skipped the live drill on the stand up and I got to work on some stretching in the meantime. Then, I got to roll for two rounds.
I would like to thank my wife for covering me tonight and for Professor Andrew and everyone at Untamed Jiu-Jitsu for tonight's training. My knee is feeling better and is getting stronger with the dynamic movements, but I feel that I am not ready yet to start sparring from the stand up just yet. It was great working on takedowns and the mats were very forgiving. I had a great time.
Sometimes in this Jiu Jitsu journey, you just have to enjoy the moment while learning. Days like these only once or twice a week now, so I treasure it a lot more. I can't wait to get my kids into Jiu Jitsu. Hopefully, they will like it as much as I do. I just can't force and impose my way on them. I want to make sure that it comes naturally for them to like the art.
