Yesterday, I was at the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne for Lunch Jiu Jitsu. We worked on a couple of things from half guard. The first lesson was going from half guard to a reversal to side control position transition. The second lesson was from half guard to dog fight to limp arm to back take transition. I got a lot of reps in within the 20 minutes.
Then, I got to work on positional training for 20 minutes from half guard. I got to work with 2 training partners from both the top position and bottom position in half guard. I mainly go to work on reversals from the bottom position and the top position, I worked on knee slice passes and pressure passing to get to side control. There was a couple of submissions within my training partner's half guard, but I was able to get the position early to clear the submission with control.
