Jiu Jitsu Training 6/7/18 - Half Guard and Live Drills

Today's training was at the Rodrigo Freitas BJJ gym in Hawthorne. Lesson plan for today was on half guard. The first thing that we did was review and do repetitions on a back tack transition from half guard by getting into the dog fight position and using the limp arm to get to the back.

After that, we did live drills for 8 five-minute rounds.Half of the rounds, we worked on our top game from half guard and the other half, we worked on sweeping or submitting , starting from half guard. I got mostly reversals, and sweeps from deep half. Then, I got to spar for 1 five-minute round. I got to work on defense and offense from various positions. I did a lot better today than the past several weeks. My movement and timing is in-sync and in rhythm.
