Tonight's training was a mix bag, since the gym was packed and I needed to get some Jiu Jitsu training before the tournament. I didn't train during lunch time today, since I had to train this evening. Also, I had to get some bench training in, so luckily, I was able to do both tonight. Bench 1st and then Jiu Jitsu. The bench was like the warm up before I did the Jiu Jitsu class. I was able to get the sets that I needed and for Jiu Jitsu, I was able to get the rolls that I needed, so everything worked out just fine and I came out healthy with some great experience.
This morning, I did 5 minutes of corrective stretching and 50 crunches before going to work. I did some more stretching when I was at work as well and I did a lot of walking and stairs this morning. I think it was 14 flights of stairs.
For the Jiu Jitsu training, I practically did live drills for about 20 - 25 minutes and then 1 round of sparring. The live drills were on the full guard. Passing or submitting when I'm on top and then sweeping or submitting when I'm on the bottom. I was able to work on a full range of reversals and sweeps when I was on the bottom. When I was on top, I just focused on passing. I wasn't worried about submitting, since I had some high level guys that I had to pass guards on.
